[Appearance]
The wine is slightly pale garnet.
[Aroma]
If I say about the strength of the aromas found on this wine, it is not that much and is just modest. However the stylistic uniqueness of this wine inclined me to take it rather elegant.
Primary aromas found include freshly-picked red flowers(violet, iris), fresh herbs(perilla), fresh red fruits(sour cherry, raspberry). There are hints of rose and vanilla which both seemingly have derived from contact or aging with oak. Above said aroma characters are well-integrated giving the impression that the wine is very balanced. Again what I appreciate is that there are many aromatic components such as fresh flowers, herbs and other and at the same time these are well-integrated.

[General impression]
Soon after swallowing the very first sip of the wine, I realized that I was facing to a type of wine that I have not encountered many times before. I personaly found some similarities to Pinot Noir made in cold regions or Poulsard in Jura, or a style half way between them might be the best word of substitute to represent this wine. Once again, I was honestly surprised at both less noticeable scents that are usually linked to Muscat Bailey A and the integration between varietal aromas and other aromatic characters.
I think Kikuka series made from Chardonnay are more well-known however I expect a good success of this wine in future. To be really honest, this is the wine that changed my general perception about Japanese wine made from Muscat Bailey A. Apart from being a copy of French wine, this high quality of the wine indicated the possibility that with varietal uniqueness of Muscat Bailey A, great wine may be made in Japan too.
